"bio_short": "Blind Faith was formed in late 1968 when <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Eric+Clapton\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Eric Clapton</a> (ex-<a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Cream\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Cream</a>) and <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Steve+Winwood\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Steve Winwood</a> (ex-<a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Traffic\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Traffic</a>) were at loose ends following the demise of their former bands and began to spend time together again (they had previously collaborated on a record as <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Powerhouse\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Powerhouse</a>), jamming and working on new material at Clapton's house in Surrey. At Winwood's instigation, Cream's former drummer <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Ginger+Baker\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Ginger Baker</a> was invited along, and they subsequently spent some time recording in the studio. <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Rick+Grech\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Rick Grech</a>, bassist with <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Family\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Family</a>, was invited to join them...and he left Family, mid-tour! Record producer Jimmy Miller came in to bring some focus to the recording of further material. ",
