He formed a band named <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Whiskeytown\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Whiskeytown</a> in 1994; they disbanded in 1999 having released two full albums, <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Whiskeytown/Faithless+Street\">Faithless Street</a> and <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Whiskeytown/Strangers+Almanac\">Strangers Almanac</a>. Adams went on to put out his first solo record, <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Ryan+Adams/Heartbreaker\">Heartbreaker</a>, in 2000. After a long delay, in 2001 Whiskeytown's third album <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Whiskeytown/Pneumonia\">Pneumonia</a> was finally issued. ",
