He was born in Halmstad, Sweden. He was a founding member of Gyllene Tider in 1979, and together with a friend, singer Marie Fredriksson, started the successful band Roxette in 1986.  He has also participated with the Swedish singer <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Nisse+Hellberg\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Nisse Hellberg</a> in the project <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/The+Lonely+Boys\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">The Lonely Boys</a>.
