She began her music career late in life. She was in her late 40s when she met <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Earl+Robinson\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Earl Robinson</a>, <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Pete+Seeger\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Pete Seeger</a> and other folk singers and songwriters.
