Along with <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Alex+Chilton\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Alex Chilton</a>, he led the power pop band <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Big+Star\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Big Star</a>, which recorded albums during the early 1970s. Chris Bell left the group after their first album, <a title=\"Big Star - #1 Record\" href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Big+Star/%25231%2BRecord\" class=\"bbcode_album\">#1 Record</a>, but contributed some music and lyrics to their second LP, 1974's <a title=\"Big Star - Radio City\" href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Big+Star/Radio+City\" class=\"bbcode_album\">Radio City</a>.
