After attending Campbell College, he moved to Dundee, Scotland in 1994 to attend Dundee University. It is here that he formed <a href=\"http://www.last.fm/music/Snow+Patrol\" class=\"bbcode_artist\">Snow Patrol</a> with fellow students Jonny Quinn and Mark McClelland.
