Höfundur lags: Ruby Moody Flytjandi: Wilma Lee og Stoney Cooper Sent inn af: Anonymous
[G]On the cross as He hung and in [C]shame was for[G]saken
As [C]they drove the [G]nails in His hands and His [D7]feet
As d[G]eath closed His eyes His [C]cries went to [G]heaven
Oh [C]Father for[G]give them I [D7]hear Him re[G]peat

One [C]morning past day break as the crowd slowly [G]gathered
Like a sheep He was humble to His father’s own [D7]will
So [C]sad was His face that the birds stopped their [G]singing
They were walking my Lord up [D7]Calvary’s [G]Hill

In a tomb He was laid but [C]death could not [G]hurt Him
He was [C]God’s only [G]son in this world be[D7]low
On the [G]cross He fulfilled the [C]plan of sal[G]vation
I [C]want to thank [G]Jesus for He’s [D7]coming a[G]gain

One [C]morning past day break as the crowd slowly [G]gathered
Like a sheep He was humble to His father’s own [D7]will
So [C]sad was His face that the birds stopped their [G]singing
They were walking my Lord up [D7]Calvary’s [G]Hill

On the cross as He hung and in shame was forsaken
As they drove the nails in His hands and His feet
As death closed His eyes His cries went to heaven
Oh Father forgive them I hear Him repeat

One morning past day break as the crowd slowly gathered
Like a sheep He was humble to His father’s own will
So sad was His face that the birds stopped their singing
They were walking my Lord up Calvary’s Hill

In a tomb He was laid but death could not hurt Him
He was God’s only son in this world below
On the cross He fulfilled the plan of salvation
I want to thank Jesus for He’s coming again

One morning past day break as the crowd slowly gathered
Like a sheep He was humble to His father’s own will
So sad was His face that the birds stopped their singing
They were walking my Lord up Calvary’s Hill
