[A]In   [E7]my sw[A]eet lit - [D9]tle    [E7]A - lice [Cdim]blue g     [A]own,
[C#7]When I f[B7]irst wandered d[D9]own   [Bm7-5] in -      [Cdim] to t     [B7]own,
I was b[E]oth proud[Cm7-5] and s      [E7]hy, as I f[A]elt e' [C#m7-5]- ry        [F#7]eye,
And in e[B7]very shop[Cdim] window I pr[E]imped [Cm7-5]passing b[E7]y.

Th[A]en   [E7]in m   [A]anner of f[D9]ash - [E7]ion, [Cdim] I'd f     [A]rown,
And the w[C#7]orld seemed to[Fdim(iii)] smile all a - r[F#m]ound. [E7-9]    [A7]
'Til it w[D]ilted, I[Cdim] wore      [G#7] it, I'll [A]always[C#m7-5] a -        [F#m7]dore it,
My sw[D9]eet lit - [Bm7-5]tle A       [E7]- li   [D9]ce b   [Fdim]lue go     [A]wn!

[E7]I o   [A]nce had a g[D9]own, it was[Cdim] al - m[E7]ost n[A]ew;
Oh, the d[Bm]aintiest t[F#m]hing, it was s[B7]weet Alice B[E]lue,
With l[A]ittle for[F#m]get-me-nots pl[D9]aced here [Fdim]and th     [A]ere;
When [B7]I had it[Cdim] on, I w[E]alked on[Cm7-5] the a      [E]ir;
And it w[A]ore, and it [C#7]wore, and it [F#m]wore, and it [A7]wore
Til it [Cdim]went and it w[B7]asn't[Bm7-5] no mo[E]re. [Cm7-5]    [E7]

I was b[E]oth proud[Cm7-5] and s      [E7]hy, as I f[A]elt e' [C#m7-5]- ry        [F#7]eye,
And in e[B7]very shop[Cdim] window I pr[E]imped [Cm7-5]passing b[E7]y.

In my sweet lit - tle A - lice blue gown,
When I first wandered down[Bm7-5] in - to town,
I was both proud[Cm7-5] and shy, as I felt e' [C#m7-5]- ry eye,
And in every shop window I primped [Cm7-5]passing by.

Then in manner of fash - ion, I'd frown,
And the world seemed to[Fdim(III)] smile all a - round. [E7-9]
'Til it wilted, I wore it, I'll always[C#m7-5] a - dore it,
My sweet lit - [Bm7-5]tle A - lice blue gown!

I once had a gown, it was al - most new;
Oh, the daintiest thing, it was sweet Alice Blue,
With little forget-me-nots placed here and there;
When I had it on, I walked on[Cm7-5] the air;
And it wore, and it wore, and it wore, and it wore
Til it went and it wasn't[Bm7-5] no more. [Cm7-5]

I was both proud[Cm7-5] and shy, as I felt e' [C#m7-5]- ry eye,
And in every shop window I primped [Cm7-5]passing by.
