Singer/Songwriter Noah Guthrie’s music is a refreshing reminder of the soul music can take on. Born in Greenville, SC in 1994, Noah was immersed in music at an early age. Being the son of studio singers, he spent his days in the studio lobby playing video games among musicians like Paul Riddle, Rusty Milner and Tim Lawter of The Marshall Tucker Band.
Surrounded by talent, it was no wonder that Noah started singing at age 12. Within two years he was playing guitar and writing his own music. “I believe there are people who want music to go back to meaning something; whether it’s to express ideas, love, change or sadness. I want to be one of the hard working musicians who steps up, leaves a mark, and changes the music industry for the better.”
Noah is beginning to do just that. He is a local favorite in Georgia with repeat appearances at Eddie’s Attic. Already this year he has opened for Selena Gomez, Neon Trees, Vanessa Carlton, Matisyahu and had the chance to perform at the Kiis FM/98.7 FM Grammy Pre Party in February. Recently Noah posted a cover of LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It” on YouTube that racked up 2.5 million views within a few days, which lead to an appearance on The Today Show, followed by countless media coverage. Currently the video has over 10 million views.
Noah is working on releasing his first album expected out later this year. It is a musical fusion that combines pop and folk. Paired with his soulful voice, it is an infectious sound entirely his own.
